Fred Lockley scrapbook, 1901-1913.

The Fred Lockley scrapbook contains clippings by and about Fred Lockley (1871-1958), the well known Oregon journalist and historian. In addition to the pieces on Lockley, the contents include numerous clippings of articles written by Lockley that were published in various newspapers and journals, as well as a few typescript additions of his poetry and prose. Handwritten dates indicate that the contents range in publication date from 1901 to 1913. From 1905 to 1910, Lockley was the general manager of Pacific Monthly Magazine, and in 1911, he accepted an editorial position with The Oregon Journal, from which many of the later articles originate. It is uncertain who created the scrapbook.
